A Little Knowledge Is a Dangerous Thing
So.
This is where I’m supposed to tell you things about myself. And you’re supposed to read it and weep. Oh, wait. No that’s not what’s supposed to happen. What is supposed to happen, is that you will read this page and feel enlightened as to the inner workings of my mind, and you will find the answers to all the secret questions you’ve harboured in your heart.

But I’ll try anyhow.
My screen-names have evolved over the (rather) long time I’ve been on this mass of intersecting communication grids, and at some point or another, I have been known as Silvrkiss, Playingpunk, Phunkstar, Phunkedelico and most recently EJL.
You might have known me way back when.
Currently, I'm a trainee solicitor at a City law firm. The hours are long, but the pay is pretty good – it gets me by comfortably. I like my job, and I still like London very much. I don't think I'll be back in Singapore any time soon.
i read the Guardian. In terms of ideology, I am more left, than right. I support liberal principles, but believe in positive discrimination. I don't beileve in formal equality without substantive equality. I am a feminist. I believe in the rule of law and an independent judiciary.
i am a liberal Liberal. or perhaps a Liberal liberal. i get confused, i may be both.
I write through a kaleidoscope. The truth is out there, as they say, but when I commit finger to keyboard what presents itself on screen is merely a fragment of reality that has been bounced around, distorted and adjusted inside my head. Don’t believe everything you see.
I also take photographs, digital and on film. I use a Canon Ixus 500, a Lomo LC-A, an Olympus Trip 35 and, now more rarely, a Holga 120SF. With words as pictures, I do not attempt to photograph the truth, merely my perception of it. I am not a photojournalist. Photoshop is amazing.
If my life were a movie, the soundtrack would include tracks by Bach and Debussy, the Smashing Pumpkins, Blur, Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky and Boards of Canada, Deep Dish, Andy C, Marky, the Avalanches, Tom Waits, the Carpenters, the Beatles, the Boredphucks, Sherene’s Closet, the Clash, Kid Koala, Lemon Jelly, Dragon Ash, Steady & Co., Mayday and Wu Bai amongst others.
I like gardening. And books.
The more one knows, the more one realises how much one doesn't yet know. Be afraid of people who have no intellectual humility, they have no idea how ignorant they really are.
